I'll be hooking up my cd player to my computer through the Digital Out of my cd player to the Digital In of my soundcard. If i use a generic cable, such as this one, will the sound quality degrade? If so, will it be noticeable? And where else could i purchase cables for cheap, i just need something that's not uber-crap.

Good good, okay, cheap cables it is. Now sound quality wise, how much of an improvement should i expect going from the rca-mini to a digital-digital?
