How much of a hardcore gamer would you consider yourself to be?

On a scale of 1-10 how much of a hardcore gamer would you consider yourself to be?

And how many hours/week do you play games?
 
I only game when I'm bored... and for no longer than an hour or two at a time. I don't crave it. I've bought maybe 5 games in the last 3 years. I'd say 6 on the scale at most.
 
I voted 6. I'm pretty good at video games, but I don't practice much. Been playing Halo 2 online via XBConnect and I've always been in the Top 3 for Slayer (FFA) matches.
 
When I had the time (i.e. refused to do anything BUT play games), I would get up in the morning, play until I couldn't stay awake anymore. Then I'd sleep. Then, when I'd wake up, I'd go back to my desk, unpause the game, and continue playing. This happened for weeks at a time, but I hardly have time to play games anymore.
 
i voted "1" but i would say 3ish..

i play halo 2 online and am not too good, and i am not hardcore enough to play more then a few hours a week

 
maybe a four or five. if I have a game worth playing, I play 3-4 hours/day, but I go months at a time without having a game worth putting that kind of time into.

I'm definitely not like my roommate, who buys almost any game off the racks and devotes an intense amount of time into the game.
 
probably a six, I got really good at counter-strike over the summer (played in cal main) but then I stopped playing once I got a job and school started I don't really play games nearly as much
 
I'd say i'm a poser, or a wannabe hardcore gamer. New games get me really excited, but i've actually only started and finished maybe 5-10 games in my life without cheating. FF7, FF8, FF9, Star Wars KOTOR 1 & 2, and maybe one or two more. But everytime a new game comes out... man I just have to play it. I just never keep playing them.

I did go through 2 seasons in MVP Baseball 2004 (9 inning games, 162 game seasons... probably took 30-40 minutes each game)
 
i love CS and it caused an F in my college career but now my computer is still the same as 2 years ago... athlon 1700 with a GF3 Ti500

so yeah not that much of a hardcore gamer. i say 4.

sweet me also, i love MVP Baseball 2004.. though there are so many glitches in it that piss me off.

I lucked out...I only got addicted to cs after i was done school. I was introduced to CS after school was over.

did you ever install any mods? The PC version and the Xbox (with a modchip of course) were modded to hell, and in the end you could pretty much do whatever the hell you wanted to the game. Took the game to a whole new level.

 
7.. I longed all christmas holidays to just sit down and play video games, although I didn't get as much time as I'd wished to do so 🙁

so many games out lately, it's wonderful 🙂

my rig would indicate I definitely like to game... 😛

Okay, so let's disect this. Basically, if I am not mistaken, what you are saying is... that you are a 3 on that scale. BUT. BUT. HOWEVER. You saw THAT poll, you saw THIS poll, and decided to vote, to cast your ballot. And, ultimately, you chose the option - ONE! This makes, frankly, no !@#$ing sense. Why are you casting a ballot that does not accurately represent your answer to the question posed by said poll? Sounds like a lie to me.

I used to play a lot but I get bored easily..

I cannot believe I'm not touching HL2 at all since I beat it once.

Last real fun game I've played was Call of Duty.
 
7. I play about an hour a day and have every game (except geh rpg's) but am not very good at any of them. Except Americas Army.
