How much more power does 7200RPM use over 5400RPM

Title says it all. Curious if it takes alot more power to run a 7200RPM over 5400RPM. Or do they draw the same power just different types of motors?

Just enough for that extra 1800RPM or so.

Not sure model. Both Maxtor but one is 60gb 7200 and the other 120gb 5400.

Those numbers seem a little weird, I mean the same drive consumes different amounts of power depending on 5V or 12V and seems to generally draw more power on the 12V models, at least on the Maxtor Diamond Max 16. The 2nd drive seems more normal, consuming approx the same amount of power.

i dunno that's the specs from the maxtor site for those ones. The 10 model didn't have power specs.
