How much money does the US spend on other countries every year?

I hope there are some subject matter experts on this.
Does anybody know how much money the US spend each year for causes that benfits others beside ourself.
Stuff such as foreign aid, United Nation Cost, etc, research grants, etc....

Because people are calling the US stingy by not contributing our fair share for victims of the tsunami, I was wonder how much does the US contribute to the rest of the world already. I guess countries in Europe can afford to contribute more per person, but I'm sure they don't have to flip the vast majority of the bill for the United Nation or everything else whenever vast amount of dollars are needed in various parts of the world.
I'm not trying to put Canada on the spot, but obviously they also don't have to flush as much money into their millitary as we do to police the world. Heck , they probably rely on us to defend them if they ever get in trouble.

Maybe here: http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook 🙂

lol. CIA has all their information wrong on their website regarding other countries. I thought the information was accurate, then I compared it to figures from World Bank, IMF, and they were way way off. 🙁
Yeah, the World Bank wouldn't have any vested interest in making the US appear bad and Europe/Asia appear good.

A couple of socialist organizations would never distort facts to make America look bad.

Well, considering we give Israel a "yearly stipend"... I'd say, for the rest of the world, we spend.. A LOT. 😀

More than we should. I can tell you that much.

That is a weird way to agree with his statement.

By the way, I do agree with the statement.

I agree as well....

Me too.....the world is full of a bunch of unappreciative US hating people who EXPECT the US to pay for everything and then they still hate us....go figure.

It would be difficult to quantify the total value of everything other countries get.For example, I don't know what the value of an aircraft carrier battle group is, but there's one out there helping in the disaster relief right now.

Yeah, its horrible. We spend millions and millions of dollars in order to help people in any way we can. We get called stingy, and end up having the whole tsunami blamed on us, britain, and israel. Whole lotta thanks there.

i heard on the radio the other day (in response to what you are trying to defend) that the US gives 40% (the government, corporations, and citizens) of the world's donations
