How much money do you have in your bank accounts?

I have $9k in our accounts right now. Most of it is in checking, I need to switch most of that over to savings. We're thinking about buying a car so I've just left it in checking for a while.

~$40k

However, that will be going down quite a bit as I move into my new apartment and pay for all the appliances and furnishings. I like to keep about $15k available at any time.

Depends on if you lump investment accounts in with "bank" accounts.

I'll just say my total liquid assets are ~$50k, and my total investments (not including my house, which I do not consider an investment) are valued at about $250-275K.

Then again, I am a massively cheap bastard. I haven't used any part of any a raise to increase my standard of living in almost 7 years. I just sock it away. Then again, I want to retire at 45, so . . . .

Like $2200 or something, 80% of every paycheck has been going straight into savings for about four months. I need moar!

doing some simple math, that would mean you make $687.50 a month, $171.875 a week, or $4.30/ hour if you work fulltime which you don't. assuming you work only 15 hours a week, that means your hourly wage is around $11.50/hour.

80% of your paycheck goes straight to savings, which means you spend $137.5 on other items, probably food+entertainment. we can also assume you live with your parents and pay no rent. right??

About $2K in Checking, 2K in Savings, and 2K in investments (I just started investing as I paid off my car last month).

You know when Azurik finds this thread the game will be over right?

You know when Bill Gates or Warren Buffet finds this thread, Azurik will look just as insignificant as the rest of us, right? 😉

I know they don't read ATOT, it was a joke.

But in the meantime.... I'm winning. BOW DOWN YOU PEONS!!!!

Why does everyone ride this Azurik guys cock? So he has a lot of money....big fucking deal.

who is he and how have we confirmed that he has money?

1. See the link in his sig, it explains the whole story
2. He posted pics of an AMEX Centurion card
3. He posted pics of his bank account

The more important question is, why do you (the collective you of ATOT, not you personally) not have as much money as him? What is stopping you?

a wealthy father and the luck to own a domain name microsoft wanted?

My dad is pretty well off. I actually had a similar idea/business plan that Azurik has when I was in high school. He just didn't really care for the idea. He wanted me to focus on school. 🙁

I told him I want to open up a bar/music venue with my brother when I graduate college. Hopefully he will go for that idea

That definitely would be nice to own a domain name that Microsoft wants. Easy money right there lol.

FYI, my "wealthy father" only loaned me $10,000 while I was college and needed start-up funds... and I paid that back shortly afterwards. The Microsoft deal was sheer luck, and that money mainly went into stock investments.

If you want to see how it all truly happened, I just posted in this thread, about 7 posts down: Being Your Own Boss

Everyone who is successful in life doesn't necessarily need a silver spoon or a hand out to make it. I don't direct this towards ATOT as a whole, just the ones who I have no issues with that seems to take issue with me for whatever reasons.

10% of what my wife has in hers... the car kinda killed me for a while... 😉 Now saving for a down payment on our next house... working toward goals is the only way to make it fun... don't be hoarders. 😀
