How much longer is a meter than a yard? nt

23 meters ~ 25 yards, thus 100yards would be 92 meters.

The difference is about 3 inches (36 for a yard, about 39.4 for a meter)

To your topic:
1 meter = 39.37 inches
1 meter is therefore 3.37 inches longer than a yard.

It's been a few years and I'm not a Canuck, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, he said he used to run the 100 yards in 11.2. So i figured it out, and well, he runs ~ 8-9 yards LESS than the 100 meters. Man, 11.2 for that, that's shyt slow!

I don't think cross country runners would be superb at 100m sprints. Isn't the point of cross country to run at a regular pace for long distance, not to sprint? I mean, cc runners do have pretty good final kicks, but I wouldn't think they'd be anywhere close to a die-hard track sprinter.
