How much longer before SATA becomes more popular than PATA?

So would I, if all my motherboard has are PATA connectors. If one has SATA connectors on the mobo, might as well use'em. You did PAY for it already, you know. :laugh:
 
well everywhere i have seen the prices are still quite gapped. i dont know where u guys r looking but everywhere im looking at, they are always charging the premuim for new technology. i just cant justify the extra price but maybe some of u can
 
Look at the links I supplied to the WD Caviars at ZipZoomFly, which incidentally is WAY better than at Fry's or Best Buy.

The difference between the SATA and PATA WD Caviars at ZZF? Four lousy bucks!

I'm not exactly made of money, but I can easily justify $4 of "extra expense.." Don't know about you though. :laugh:
