Its not illegal but its against EULA and if Valve find out that account was sold they will disable it.

But once again, an overestimation. A lot of the games came in packages or at greatly reduced prices.
That said, I'm sure I've spent quite a bit on steam. It is my preferred method of buying games.
Didn't check to see if it got all my games though. Still, I don't think that's an insane amount to have spent since Steam's inception 5 years ago. That's less than $10 a month, and that's if I spent as much as this claims.

This site is dumb. It says $189.82 for me but most of the games come free as part of a package deal.
