How much is your cable/dish & highspeed internet service?

Bumping this thread cause I am working on getting dsl/cable and wondering if I am crazy. To me $30 is a hella lot to pay for TV, so I may be too stingy to pay more than $10 for internet on top of that.

Dish $30
Internet $10

I live with two other roomates:

Cox Broadband Cable internet : $39.00
Cox Preimum Cable : $42.00

If it were up to me I would just get rid of cable tv all together and just use an antenna, but one of my roomates does nothing but watches cable tv and we had to compromise for his sake

I wish he would just download his tv shows so we could get rid of the cable tv.

no cable on our street, but there is BROADBAND... 😛
oh and i can't hack directv anymore so the dish on the roof is for show - 'fo sho'

$40 for the DSL

Brighthouse Networks:

Digital Pack: $50
HD Pack: $6
HD DVR: $9
Internet (5/384): $30/mo

I think i get close to 300 sd channels and about 15 hd channels.

digital cable, HBOs, Starz, cable modem, $109/mo
we have three kids under five, so we justify this as our entertainment budget since we don't go out anymore

Basic and Premium Cable along with 3MB cable modem is $99/month. We get no premium, no digital cable no HD, and crappy picture. Very unhappy with Comcast.

what do you expect ? They're pretty much a monopoly for cable, especially on the island. DSL is now only a bit slower (in upload anyway) but it's only $30/mo... good if you're on a budget. I just want the best since it's paid-for... I think Verizon FIOS is coming soon... double OOL speed for $50/mo... take that OOL !

$45 for RoadRunner. Not sure why I stick with them when DSL starts at like $19. But currently my wife's work pays for it so it's fine. If they ever stopped, I'd dump it in a heartbeat and get DSL. So much cheaper and the extra speeds don't make that much difference 99% of the time.

$45 for roadrunner
$60 for digital cable

gf insists on keeping cable with movie channels. Bah.

edit: Also, Time Warner gave me 2 free months of roadrunner and digital cable with every single movie channel pluys free on demand since I was switching over from DirecTV. Hehe 🙂

$170 a month with Comcast....which I've been saying is too dang much but I pay it anyway. Got the cable modem and every single channel they offer with 1 HD DVR box and 2 other non-DVR digital cable boxes.
