how much is this car worth? (now with pics)

It's like this car.. same color

A family friend has a car just like the one in the link, except it has pretty much sat in a air controlled garage since he bought it. It has just over 3,000 miles, and is in absolutely flawless condition. The interior still looks showroom new.

i told him it's probably pretty rare in that condition, and might fetch alot from a dedicated collector.

What says you?

Edit :

he let me come take pics

He should put another 100-500 miles on it before he sells it. That way anything that has dried out will show and can be taken care of.

But it is not a rare or special car so I hope he does not expect a lot.

I'm probably going to suggest he wait until it is 25 years old. This isn't an investment for him and he has no idea what it is worth now. He just bought it and never drove it. He's worth tens of millions so I know he's not worried about squeezing money out of it.

tell him to sell you the car for cheap - store it for a few years - sell and make a profit 😉

Prices are fairly high considering. Yours would fetch more, I would guess. But now is a bad time to sell a car like this, considering the economy.

This is true. Also if you give the car a few more years, it will become a classic, AND THEN it'll start to go up in value. But right now, it's not quite a classic yet. Technically, a classic is 25 yrs +.

I doubt that. Those cars were heavy and not particularly fast. I doubt they will ever be worth much more than they are now.

I think the only way this car will be sold for a lot is if we find a collector that wants a car like this.. In that case, this car with only 3,500 miles would be worth a premium. Otherwise.....

How often was the engine run / fluids changed? If it hasn't been run in 5 years, I'd say it's worth significantly less than you hope!

If the tires are original, I wouldn't even attempt to run them on a highway!! Rubber will degrade / dry rot / etc within 5-10 years!
