How much is it worth?

I got a new vanity and sink for my bathroom... I'm just wondering what I can get out of the old sink top. It's still definitely usable... I just want to see if I can get a few bucks out of it. What should I sell it for? A brand new one would cost approximately $100 since it's 37" by 22".

What do you think people would pay for the sink?

It's made out of the same crap they make all of them out of... Looks like a fiberglass composite with a plastic top. The color is sort of a marble color and it has a shell-shaped indention soap dish built-in.

I would say that this thread is totally worthless and you out of your friggin gourd except that there is always some moron out there willing to pay good $ for worthless crap.

Yep - unless it's some old porcalin over cast iron thing, it's next to worthless. Many larger cities have "architectural surplus" places that take used building materials, but are often so over run with crap cabinets & sinks that they'll likely turn it away.

I know it's worth nothing, but I work for a university. I'm planning on listing a ton of stuff on the university listserv for faculty and staff. That will at least let a few thousand people see it... It's pretty easy to unload stuff on there cause most people at the university are home owners and know people doing renovations here and there. I think I'm going to start at $20 obo just to see if I can cash in on it. 😉 Thanks for your responses...

Typically, it's the wife who is the impetus behind any bathroom remodeling...
That said, the typical wife says "no" to used bathroom components.

I see stuff alongside the road all the time with "free" signs on it... The vanity tops always seem to end up going to the garbage.

If you are going to "give" it away, you might check to see if your area has a freecycle network in your area...check yahoo groups
