How much is appropriate to spend on a gift for someone you've only been seeing for 2 weeks?

Depends on the person. I found that spending a lot of GF's to be a waste of money. A thoughtful gift will *probably* be more appreciated than an expensive one.

in all honesty, i think that is a good range. not too much, but still enough to get a nice little gift.

what do you have in mind anyways?

If you are trying to get in her pants then its unlimited. If you are just friends $10 (but if any possiblity of more then friends then up it to $50_)

What's the occasion for the gift? If it's "just because" then I'd aim a little lower.

as long as it's a birthday...$20-30 fair game...

being it's only two weeks though I would probably do flowers, dinner and a show (preferably a concert of some sort...on the grass works well).

Gifts have a way of making some people look into them more than they are, and some people expecting more in return which they shouldn't.

spend as much as you want and as much as you can afford...if it's been a great 2 weeks then really surprise her. If it's just been "okay", then something typical.

Pier 1 has this crazy glass head that I was looking at - I think it would be a funny conversation piece :p

very cool! i like it. that would be a "fun" gift... not showing you are too serious, but something different and thoughful as well. i would get a kick out of getting that!
