Big mac meal is around 5.50, 1 dozen dunken donuts is 6 bucks I think (1 dozen original glazed krispy kreme is $6 as well so I imagine they'd want to keep competitive)

Topic Summary: I'm starting to suspect the prices here in nyc is almost 2x the norm

of course the prices are high,

the rent is high,on anything within 40 miles of NY City.
all 12 boroughs or whatever it is now,if you include staten islan,long island new jersey,Ct etc.

you want cheaper stuff? move to Albany/Schenectady/Troy etc..,but,the taxes just went up in this area too.

I hear that Hawaii,and Alaska prices are rough too.

2 liters of pop generally runs about $1.29. More often $.99, and we generally buy it on sale at $.69.
Big Mac meal runs around 5 bucks.
I live in west central PA.
I've seen Starbucks frappucino bottles, but I have never seen the price, much less someone drinking one.
The largest cup of coffee at Sheetz (our local convenience store chain) is $1.29.

Hmm..I'm located in the gramercy area so that's where I'm usually goin grocerin'. Yea if I travelled a bit to say China town or someplace out in the ghettos, I can probably get the coke for like .99 but I've never seen Ben n Jerry's for S2.50....perhaps $3.50 at the absolute cheapest.
