I think all the current OLED's ARE 4k....but good luck with the wait for them to become affordable. It's not going to be this decade.
Well, before they become affordable they have to release an actual production model (and no, I don't count that joke OLED "prototype" Sony released years ago). 🙂 There is a lot of talk at CES about OLED, but just like 2013 and 2012, I haven't seen an actual production model. Definitely no talk about MSRP, which leads me to believe the models they are showing off are just demo units. Sucks, but I'm hoping OLED will materialize soon. And by "soon," I mean sometime in 2014. Once they have one in the stores, we can then talk about affordable models. 🙂
I'm good though. I have no problems waiting until this mess gets sorted out (HDMI 2.0, 4K, 8K, 4k/8K media, OLED). It's a huge mess out there now. Definitely wouldn't recommend jumping in now if you have a decent setup. On the other hand, it's a perfect time to start saving for the "real deal" in a few years. 😉
