i don't think the op did anything wrong... he posted a video that he wanted to share with people because he felt personally moved by it.

the problem is with people who come in and go page after page bashing the religion or defending the religion rather than saying "thanks for the video" or "this video is retarded". either one of those posts would be perfectly fine in here, but dumbshits like gag will keep repeating the same behavior over and over expecting a different result (which is to have someone religious say, "wow, i've never heard that before! you're so smart! thanks for opening my eyes! I will admit that sometimes I get a bit colorful when making a point but I usually reply in the context of the message I am replying to. One or two versus in the Bible about homosexuals and you have people preaching and protesting in the streets about how bad gays are. Yet, I don't see anyone protesting or condemning people who work on Sunday, I haven't heard of any Catholics (lately) stoning people even though its mentioned numerous times, and I have never heard a preacher tell me that I must stay away from a woman when she is on her period (although sometimes I try) even though the Bible clearly states that you should.

Who chooses which parts are taken literally and which are not and what methods do they use to decide?

And in addition to choosing which portions are open to interpretation, who chooses which version is the "correct" one? Where's the official G.O.D. seal of approval?
