I'm extremely anal about losing data, so the 160GB is pretty much used only as backup or storage until I have enough of similar data to fit on a DVD.

wow i have the exact same as you

Internal drives: 250GB and 160GB
External: 80GB

Just added some more space so I guess I'll share too.

Main rig:
2 x 36 GB Western Digital Raptors (Raid ) = 74Gb
1 x 160 GB Maxtor
2 x 320 GB Western Digital = 640 GB
Main rig total = 874 GB

HTPC:
1 x 200 GB Seagate
1 x 400 GB Seagate
HTPC total = 600 GB

Total all together = 1474 GB

320gb

so 400gb total and yes both are sata's. both also are western digitals.

i don't plan on adding more despite having a lot of hard drives laying around.

I use a laptop:

Internal-80
external 2.5'-30(laptops origional)/40/80

and then with the keyboard and mouse I ran out of USB ports so I went for a 3.5' firewire 250gig

total:480GB

Most of the space is used for my anime and comic collection, I can't even imagine how it would feel to lose everything I spent so many years collecting.

C: 200GB WD PATA
D: 250GB WD PATA
E: 300GB Seagate SATA => for backup of critical stuff from C: and D:
H: 40GB WD PATA via USB enclosure => for temp data and distributed computing
I: 40GB iPod => effectively a backup of all my music

After moving into 100's of gigs of unprotected data per physical disk I never felt safe till I got myself that Seagate backup drive.
