How much garbage are you going to generate this weekend?

For me, a lot, since I'll be seriously cleaning my new condo.

It belongs to my relatives who moved out in a hurry in Sept 09 because of new twins, a new job, and a house that became available. The place is full of junk and stuff that's been sitting here for nearly two years. I just cleaned out my old apartment and now I get to do this 🙁 .

I'm also going to a BBQ tomorrow with new BF to meet his friends. BBQ's always generate a lot of garbage. Then Sunday eve joining BF at his place to watch Game of Thrones and pizza - just one pizza box there, not too bad.

How garbage-heavy is your memorial day gonna be?

No more than usual.

You know what fills up my trashbin more than anything else(at least IMO)? Plastic bags from Safeway. They fucking double bag EVERYTHING and use so many plastic bags. It's ridiculous. I'm about to bring my own bags for shopping soon just because it is so ridiculous.

Very little. I fill a shopping bag that I keep in a 5 gallon bucket every 1-1.5 weeks. I don't see that changing over the weekend.

This is a long weekend in the US? Ours was last week.

This weekend though I'm cleaning out my late uncle's house. This house is completely filled with junk. I've never seen anything like it before. We threw out a truckload of scrap metal already, and there's still at least 1 or 2 more. This wasn't a truck of big items either. It was all pipe fittings, nuts and bolts, electrical components to god knows what, 30 year old tools, etc. This house has basically everything you could think of in it, all junk. You literally couldn't walk in the house before we started cleaning it out. Definitely a more than qualified house for Hoarders or a similar show.

no more than usual.

my town as Monday/Wednesday/Friday trash pickup and I typically only take stuff out to the curb once/week... took my trash out tonight, so I'm good till next week.

A little more than average. We'll be camping and working on the lot. Clean brush will get burned but somebody used the back of our lot for a trash heap years ago. I'll be finding all that to haul home.

Apparently I'm going to be generating some today - cleaning up so I can properly get to my air conditioner in storage, as well as at the window to install it.
Summer abruptly decided to show up this weekend.

I bought a bunch of stuff this weekend, so I'm gonna have an unusual amount of packaging to throw away.
