I love going to Chicago on business trips. I stay downtown.. Normally Embassy Suites. I hit up the best steak houses, the best pizza places, the Italian Beef shops, and the BBQ joints. All on the company expense account.
 
Even halfway closer to Chicago from Naperville you'd be alright. Naperville is decent to visit for a few attractions, but I wouldn't want to live there.
Have lived here in Joliet forever & always feel more at home every time I go to Chicago.
I'm not sure I want to live in Chicago, but would be happy to at least be halfway closer. A 2 hour round trip drive to & from Chicago can be very exhausting, especially when I'm traveling there more than once or twice a month.

The day I moved into Naperville I had my someone hitting on me and later she asked me for wine.. She's a white cougar.

If you're talking about your typical indian with horrible fashion sense, thick accent, and doesnt work out, then sure I agree.

Depends entirely on the individual.

Your statement is not even true in the cities of Australia.

However, no doubt it's true in your dingo-infested backwoods hicksville corner of Australia, but those women aren't worth it anyway, so it's all good.
 
Do your parents have contacts in India still? If not have them interview families for an arranged marriage, Naperville is a great place to start a family. Sure she'll cry every day for the first 6months to 1 year, but after that it will be fine.

Dude, just hop on the Metra and start spending your weekends downtown to get a feel of what it is like. Naperville is great for that with the express trains. Just stay out of places like Hyde Park.

Hyde Park isn't all that bad compared to "the real" southside--when you start getting into the 70s and on. Problem with Hyde Park is that it is boring as fuck.

However, it's a good place to trawl for young, overachieving, and inexperienced coeds that are already depressed about attending their second choice: U Chicago.

It may have improved over the years. The gentrification and mixed income neighborhoods have changed the demographics that I was once familiar with.

Do you mean the University of Chicago (no one's second choice) or the University of Illinois, Chicago?
 
Hyde Park is near the University of Chicago and would not be someone's second choice for a school.
UIC on the other hand.......but that is northwest of UofC and nowhere near Hyde Park.
