How much dynamite would it take to destroy an Athlon?

Try second edition. This sounds like driver problems.Second edition did provide better support. I had many more BSD's and Protection faults with 1st edition than with 2nd. It's worth a try.

Tripleshot...

I am currently using windows 98se. I can't remember getting to many blue screens after I installed it, but it still didn't fix my little 3d problem. I just tried to load up one of those opengl screen savers that comes with windows and the minute I clicked on the screen saver (3d text) from the drop down list it locked up. This is quite strange. I've got a pci starfighter card that I am about to toss in this system and see if that helps. If it does work then maybe I'll format the drive and fool around with different drivers for the geforce card.

Heh, I just may end up pawning this stuff off to someone if I can't return it. I got the board from onvia and I know that they have a good return policy, so now the only problem is how understanding egghead will be if the need arises to return the athlon. I just hope it doesn't come to that though. Maybe I'll just try and swap the board for a different one and see if that helps.
