Looking to have some people over tomorrow night, and I'm curious as how much it would cost to get a keg from the local liquor store. Obviously renting it...

Thanks!

~$75 for a half barrel and around $45 for a 1/4 (pony).

Figure another $100 deposit for the tapper & keg.

natural light cost $45 a couple years ago where I went to school. getting into the bud light range was more like $70.

add maybe $15 deposit for keg/tap.

It's 39.99 bucks for a 1/2 of Keystone and 49.99 for a 1/2 of Coors Light. College towns FTW.

Keystone was always the default-beruit beer.

Now I have to drive 100miles to the next state to buy a keg.

It was in the high thirties for a 1/4 barrel of Bud Light, plus $10 deposit for the keg itself and then like $40 or something for the tap.

Exactly, you could get 3 30 racks of Keystone for 50-60 dollars so 90 beers. Or you could get a keg of Keystone for 45 (after taxes and the deposit getting back) which gets you 160 ish beers. I see no choice, other than 30's being easier to get.

I have to admit that I still drink Keystone on occasion.

I have seen the 30 packs of keystone and miller high life for $9.99 often around here.

If you are paying $60 for "cheap" beer...spend the extra $25 for a good craft beer. I can get Boulevard for $85 for 1/2 bbl (keg) and Bud/Miller/Coors for $60.

It'll likely vary a bit by area, but from what I remember, cheaper kegs were around ~$40-50, with something like bud light costing ~$60-70.
