How much does that extra 64MB help on videocards?

Right now I havent seen alot of video cards that need 128MB onboard, does anyone have and benchmarks comparing a 4200 64 vs a 128 version? I have seen alot of skeptics of 8x Agp cards has any done any benchmarks of a 8x card and then the card on a bios setting of 4x agp?
