If you're good at web design, and if the site has a decent amount of content don't be too bashful with your price (although I can understand the hesitation when family's involved.) Most people assume you can just slap together a decent-looking web site for next to nothing. And if you're just looking at an entry level site that may be true. But it never ceases to amaze me how many people will be SO FRIGGIN cheap when it comes to building a web site for a business. They think that just because they've heard all this dot com doom and gloom that web site development costs should be next to nothing. And if they don't like your price, then "we'll just do it ourselves." And my . . . don't they make some nice creations.

Invariably, a large percentage of those people either come back to us later for help or end up hiring employee(s) to manage the site.
