How much does it cost to pick up a towed car?

I'm suprised there's not more killings over that. I would be pissed if someone took my car. I could understand why someone would walk into an impound lot shooting.

my friend's car got stolen and was towed to a lot. they wanted to charge him around $2k for towing and "storage fee". since his car doesn't worth much more than that, he had to pay the lot a couple hundred to get rid of the car...

yeah i know it sounds dumb. let me have the damn car!!!!!!

He had the pay the lot to keep his car forever? WTF? What happens if he just walks away and never goes back?

A quick way to buy a car cheap is to check out impound yards. I found some really nice older cars that were going for < $500.
