getting my own place and basic internet/cable from time warner is 90 bucks a month...i thought it would be like 20 for each...what a scam

edit:i dont watch tv but 1 or 2 football games a week and dont care how slow my porn downloads.
 
Verizon 768K DSL --> Philadeplhia area

The DSL is reliable as hell, the price is good and 768K is plenty to make my basic surfing and occasional online game or large download smooth.

$60 a month for 3 Mb down and 384 KB up (you never get those speeds though), plus basic cable (about 25 channels).
 
I pay $82 after all fees and taxes for basic cable TV + 6mbit down/1mbit up internet access
I would probably pay about $60 if I went with 768kbit/128kbit internet access and basic cable TV, but I HATE slow downloads and uploads. I downloaded a battlefield 2 mod that was over 1GB and it took less than an hour. It would piss me off if things like that took 2 or 3 days to download.

I would gladly pay more if they offered a faster service. That being said, I would probably wind up violating the TOC with running a Vent server and/or a BF2 server. Lots of bandwidth is also very nice for lans.
 
$45 for basic cable internet, 2.6 mbit.

Should cost under $30, but there's only one cable internet company around here.

EDIT: crap, just looked at Yahoo DSL - looks like $30 for 6mbit down...
 
unavailable here... I'd gladly pay $100 per month for 2 years, then a reasonable amount after that for cable + cable internet.
 
Time Warner is about 45 for internet and 45 for TV. But you can sometimes get a special or soemthing for 35 for internet but rarely any deal on TV. But if you have internet you get T for free too. If they don't put on the filter at the cable box or if it somehow comes off...
 
I think we pay $80-90 for basic cable + 7 Mbit cable modem.

I think that price is reasonable for what we get, but I wish they had a la carte pricing on the basic cable, because we watch less than 10 channels.

time warner and comcast are both expensive, they both also had some deal where they bought out adelphia, hopefully they wont buy out cox

I pay $90 for Digital cable, HD-DVR, HBO, starz, cinemax, cable internet and a landline phone.
