I mean really, why should the price of soda go up? I don't get it.

hahahahaha

i love morons like you that get all pissy about a 100% markup.

WTF you think? that the owner of the local quick mart is going to go to cosco buy the sodas (because that's where they probably bought them) for $0.75 a piece, stock them in the refrigerators and then turn around and sell it to you for $0.80?

if you want to pay the $0.75 / soda, go to Costco. if you go to your local quickmart EXPECT TO PAY MORE.

Of course, *all* of the 2-liters are warm... most people are stopping to get gas anyway, but if you want to get something to drink, your choices are attempting to chug from a warm 2-liter, or buy the over-priced 20oz bottle for $1.39 (here)

somebody needs to invent a thing where you insert the warm 2 liter bottle on one side, and out the other or through a tube you get cold soda. i bet that would sell

especially if it was built into the car somehow

Damn, $1.49/20oz is the most expensive I've heard of.

Around here the most expensive I've seen is $1.25/20oz, and that's a recent thing...

It's normally $1.00.

For name-brand pop.

1.29 here. It's absolutely obscene. 2-liters are cheaper. When 2-liter coke w/ lime was on sale for .66 per, I got a raincheck for 20.

A half-liter goes for 15 kroner here in Denmark. At the exchange rate today, that's $2.58. So, yeah, I'm slowly getting gouged on soda prices while I'm here. I definitely won't miss that.

why not just get a 12 pack of pepsi for 2 bucks at the supermarket then. Soda at my local costco is rarely cheaper than the sales they have my the supermarkets.

The machine at work is $0.25 for a can. I think that's the cheapest I've seen. Anywhere else, I couldn't tell you. I don't drink soda anymore.
