How much do you weigh and how much can you one-arm-concentration curl?

How tall is your coworker? If he's 5'9" or shorter, at 190, and mostly muscle, I would believe him.

I'm proportionally built the same as him except I am 5'10" and 160 pounds. I can only do 3 sets of 10 reps/set of 33 pounds. I don't see how he can do twice as much as me.

At those numbers, I wouldn't immediately think he was lying, it's definitely possible. I can't curl much, I do sets of 30lb and I weigh 152lb.

i do 3 x 10 concentration curls with 35lbs dumbells. i'm 5'7, 190lbs, muscular. he's bullshitting you, big time.

even if he was standing with the dumbells, and doing curls, which are easier than concent curls, he's still BS'ing you. he's a douche

I can do 3 sets of 10 at 25, but I don't have heavier weights. No idea how far I could go; maybe 50. I weigh 210.

I haven't really worked out hard this summer, but at the end of the school year this year I could get 3 x 10 of 30lbs

I'm focusing on running again so not really lifting much anymore

i'm 5'10" 130lbs

hmm.. i dunno about concentration.. i havnt even done standing arm curls in a while.. normally i just let my back exercises take care of the biceps.

For my standing arm curls I was able to do a set of 10 at 45lbs, and I weigh 160, but as mentioned, standing are easier than concentration. I'm gonna call BS on the 65lb curls, unless hes like 4 feet tall.

edit: on a side note, Ahnold could concentration curl 110lb dumbells (as seen in my favorite movie: pumping iron) :p

Agreed. Although I could see curling 130lbs - however - that in no way means you could do half that with each arm.

I say it is possible at this weight, depends on how long he has been lifting. It really isn't about his weight, it is about experience.

Not to mention this arguement is stupid as hell as only wannabee teen body builders do this worthless axercise, and then to argue about it...;)

As far as 65x10x3 at 190... ya it's possible. I could maybe do 35 and I weight 150 (though I haven't worked out in almost a month :().
