I thought about that myself too, but they never have pictures of the typical Amazon you can use your cert for....

What do I win?

I was going to guess this too. Wanna split the prize?

This is close but I'm thinking a little more...$180. When you go to commerce they give you a prize if you guess within however many percentage points and I actually guess right before. I was all stoked to get my prize and it was like a dumbass Commerce yo-yo or something. :) Tried to talk them into doubling my money but they wouldn't go for it. ;)

~500 I'd say. I had a pile of change on my desk that my parents brought to the bank after I left and it was $200-300. You've got a bit more there.

Is this a contest? Does whoever's closest get 10% or somthing? :p

Your description makes it sound like a lot more change than it is. You could probably get all of those into one of those freezer bags.

I'll say $100-125. It looks like less than I had when I cashed in, and it was 194$.

$50.

I helped a friend once take a 5 gallon bottle to a coinstar and it came out to $800.

Yeah, there's no other reasonable way to do it. But I was referring to how heavy the coins are.

Somewhere between 300-600, depending on quantity of quarters. When I collect change, it's typically largely in quarters, and I'll usually have around $70 from a tub of butter filled (one of those 15oz tubs iirc).

The receipt from the machine gives you totals per coin denomination. The teller didn't return that printout to me, but here's what I remember: about $280 was from quarters, $14 from pennies, and $80 from dimes. Don't remember the totals from others like dollar coins and nickels.

Damn, guess it was more than I thought. Hard to tell the volume of the flat bags.

Yeah it is harder to see how much coinage is in those bags, but they were pretty full. I filled each one up not until all the available space was taken up, but until it seemed like the plastic bags would no longer support additional weight.
