How much do you think a sealed Sega Geneis game console worth?

I was wondering what the value for a brand new sealed Sega Genesis game console would be? I'm sure the value of it is based more on it being sort of a colletable because they don't sell it anymore and nobody has it still sealed and brand new. Anybody have an idea or know where I can go to find out. Thanx for any help

Ebay.. rough value $XXX (N/M checked around it's probably about $250) if you can find the right person maybe higher..

really? I haven't seen any store carrying them. It wouldn't make sense for them to waste inventory space for an outdated console.

Anyways, the game console is factory sealed and brand new.

You can still get them new for $19.99 here, it's the new small style but otherwise the same great Genesis. Hey datalink7 you interested in getting rid of that old game stuff?

I have the original Sega CD (the one that went under the console), a 3DO, Collecovision, and Intellevision rotting in my parents basement.

I paid damn near $400 for that 3DO and the only game I ever played for it was Return Fire.

I have a turbo graffix 16 with the CD attachment 🙂 I won it when it first came out. Bonk's revenge was cool.

Man I've always wanted a 3do but they were so expensive when they came out. I'm not even sure what games are good for that system now.

Give it another 10 years then it might be worth something 🙂

I have 3 Genesis systems, Sega CD, Sega 32X and the advanced controllers all with like around 30-40 games. Got it all (except the 32X) from pawn shops used for less than $200. 🙂 Sega might suck to some but I liked the games at least.

Man, tell me what system you plan on buying next, i'll avoid it 😉 Do you just buy systems that are doomed to fail, or do they fail because you buy them? 😀

I still have an NES. Awesomest console ever!

Yesterday I was playing some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.. talk about a fvcking tough game!

I would guess for less than $100.

NES was cool! But I detached myself from it and gave it to my bf who seems quite pleased with it.

Huh? I thought the stores ran out of them?

I would just buy the dreamcast and download the 2-CD set that has every Genesis game ever. For $50 I now own the entire genesis collection.

Still have my genesis and about 15 games. Also have my atari 2600 and 7800 and about 100 games. Never bothered dumping them because you couldn't get enough money for how much fun it is to place q-bert, pole position, frogger, kaboom, etc on the real system, especially now that I have it on a 32 inch TV.

😀

Actually I've owned almost every system at one time or another. The only ones I haven't bought yet is a GameCube or Xbox but I'll pick up the GC as soon as a Mario or Zelda is out. Oh yea, I've never owned a Jaguar, Saturn or Neo-Geo. The rest (including handhelds) I've had at one time or another.
