How much do you think a 7800GT will cost?

7800GT supposed to be a lower clock version of the 7900GTX and also supports SLI.

My guess, $399 retail, $349 at newegg.com

That's interesting because the new Ipods that just came out recently is only $399 for a Color Ipod with 60GB. Compared to a year ago it cost $499.

I guess different market with video cards.

Well if it is $499, then $449 at most places. That's $1000 for a SLI.

Yep, video cards certainly aren't getting lower in price...It probably doesn't help either that Nvidia has no competition from ATI at the high end right now either. I would hope that prices become a little more reasonable after the (paper?) launch of R520.

7600GT: $349.99
7600: $274.99

ummmm...I doubt 7600GT and especially 7600 will cost $275-350. I highly doubt either will be faster than X800XL/6800GT for $250/300. Also I think nvidia put the prices higher Ie. 599 vs. 499 last generation expecting that ATI will come out with a faster card so they can lower it to $499 and put 7800Ultra at 599. I mean it's fairly unreasonable to have 7800U at $699 when 6800U was $499 and it was the high-end last generation. Why would they raise the cost of highest card by $200? That's ridiculous.

yjr 7800GTX is 491 at dell right now with copouns. I doubt it will be that high. Official might be 499, but real life price might be 450.

Haha, newegg gouges like crazy most of the time on new/wanted products.

I'd say no way would the mid-range aimed cards be 350$
Maybe 300, but I'm guessing a 12-16 pipe card that'd be 280$ for a 7600 GT (Think current X800 XL / 6800 GT prices), 12 pipe 7600 at 225$? If nVidia doesn't cut when R520 comes out (which I'm sure they will) they will probably have a big gap from 300-400$. Just my prediction.
