how much do you pay for your haircut?

I paid $95.00 for my last hair cut + $15.00 tip.

1. It was a high falluting salon in Beverly Hills
2. I had not cut my hair in over a year in preparation for my wedding.
3. I wanted it styled nicely.
4. They had awesome reviews.

I wanted to dye my hair too, but their dye services cost more than the cut. I had to hold back.

I only get my hair cut one to two times a year, so the expense is semi justifiable.

Plus as a full fledged female, the haircuts always cost more.

Last month, when I went from THIS to THIS, (you all remember THIS famous pic of ATOT's Sexiest Man of 2007  ) I was going to go to one of the "premier" salons in town for the cut, but in the end, one of my wife's friends who has cut my hair in the past got the job instead. Instead of $30 or more + tip, it cost me about $15 + tip.
Now, after about 6 weeks, it's due for another cutting, just to get it back to the high & tight look I prefer.

I wish we had some elderly ladies to chime in. I would love to know how much their Friday trips to the beauty parlor set them back.

My wife cuts my hair; has cut it for 20 years now. At 6 cuts per year, $20 per cut, that's a savings of $2400 since I've been married.

I cut my own hair every 6-8 weeks. I used to pay $15 after tip every time, so just cutting my hair twice paid for these clippers. I also got sick of the hassle of setting up the appointment in advance and driving to the salon.

i thought of cutting my hair once. I *HATE* waiting 30min- 1hr to get a haircut.

but how do you cut the back of the head? lots of mirrors?!

about once every 6 weeks in chinatown, total is $20 after tip (like $16 before). Includes shampoo, massage, eye candy, and the fact that they take a long time to make sure that everything is perfect. good stuff

$15

Been going since I was a kid, never tipped before so I'm starting to feel bad. Might stop going cause when my barber finishes with the wash, she scrubs my scalp like she's peeling potatos. It feels good, but I really don't like the amount of hair that's probably being ripped out. Or I can just tell her 'no wash' or go easier.
