I'm trying to get an idea of how insurance costs vary with age, car, experience, etc.

Hope it's not as personal as the "how much do you make" question.
 
A little over $1k a year for a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. I'm 26, male and have a clean record. I live in MA though, so our rates are kind of retarded.

97 saturn sc2 liability 130 every 6
01 suzuki sv650 full coverage 300 every 6
88 cherokee liability 130 every 6

im 30 male and married. Wife is on the policies.

 
$500 every 6 months for an 08 CTS AWD. I'm 31, live in the Atlanta area and drive around 12 miles each way to work. I was paying around $800/year for my '04 GTO 6spd when I was 26-30 in a city 30 miles north of Cincinnati. The Cadillac wasn't much more either, but the large number of uninsured motorist (illegals) down here jacks the price up.

I have 500,000 combined, uninsured, $5000 medical, and rental up to $40/day w/$500 deductible.
 
full coverage @ $360 per 6 months, clean record, I am in my low 30s. I have 09 Accord V6... Iowa is one of states with lowest insurance cost.
 
you guys don't mention what kind of insurance you have - comprehensive? collision damage? how much liability? etc.
 
I pay $225 a month for a 00 Saturn SL2 and a 98 240SX SE...100/300/100 coverage and a $500 deductable

I am 38.

When I was 19-20 I bought a 88 Mustang GT in 1990...minimum 25/50/25 coverage and a $1000 deduct. with no comp/collision was $225/month
 
Right now, full coverage, including dent/dings coverage, 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid is $421 every 6months. I'm 24yr old male with a clean record, drive 7 miles to work.

Without the dents/dings coverage it would drop to like $390 every 6 months.
 
I pay $225.42 every six months for a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and a 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon.
 
Technically it would be $ 4700 per year for motorcycle, only 6 month riding season. I don't actually pay that though, don't ask me how 😉

For the car it's about $ 1500 per year full coverage, 2001 Lexus ES 300.

I am 24, clean driving record, license since 16.

$310 for 6 months through progressive...but it will ikely go up since I just got a ticket. I live in MA.

Almost the same here... $500/mo. for 6 mo. full coverage w/ glass on an 08 X5... I'm 31 and in NY.

In contrast my brother in law who's under 25 was paying $400 for his old Civic, liability only.
