Don't you just love monopolies ? (We don't have a choice around here... not sure about CT actually)

Adelphia digital HBO advantage pack with cable internet works out to a little over $100 after the taxes. I would dump HBO, but my rate would actually go UP if I did that because its some kind of package. Adelphia's server has been ok, but the rate increases are crap....and they've eliminated some of the cheaper packages. I will cancel and get DSL + a disk as soon I move to a place where I can. I hardly watch TV at all so paying 60$ doesn't seem like a deal at all. I only want like 5 channels.

My bill is currently $124 for 3.0/256, and digital cable w/ hbo and HD.

im selling my tv and getting a NON hd tv partially because of this.

$67 for Directv with HBO, 2 extra receivers, and Tivo Service
$27 for SBC DSL
Right about $97 after taxes and such.

With Comcast...
$80 for the same service and I didn't get Tivo
$43 for Cable Internet
Right about $127 or so including tax

It was a no brainer to switch to Directv and SBC DSL.

I pay 30 for dishnetwork, and about 34 for DSL (minus $25 refund from my company for working at home one hour per month).

14 for basic cable, but I may recieve more than what I'm supposed to.
43 for 3Mb/256Kb
57 Total

Digital cable and cable internet (3Mbps/256). I could save myself $50+tax a month if I was like all my friends and stole the cable since the cable company doesn't block the video signal, which they consider fair game to take for free.

$44.95 for cable Internet. hehe 😱

Dammit. I thought I was going to have the best deal on here, but apparently not. That's insane! How'd you get that? Oh well, I still challenge anyone (except minendo) to beat this rate:

~3mbps/128kbps
1 room has Basic and Digital Cable, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and Encore (<-- actually worth watching!). Also HBO & Showtime HD (Sopranos in HD!!!!), all local channels in HD, PBS HD, and Discovery HD (<-- AWESOME).
2nd room get the basic channels and basic cable.

$95/month.

I actually used to pay like $102/month for just basic and digital cable, but when I bought an HD TV, I had to go in to get a different receiver. It only came with two local channels at the time (Fox HD and CBS HD) and PBS HD, unless you got HBO or Showtime, which had two HD channels apiece. Well I wasn't going to only have three HD channels to choose from, so I told him to add HBO ($10 a month). The guy's like, "Would you like Showtime?" "No, I don't..." "Just a minute, I think I can save you some money." I'm thinking that he's going to say that if I get Showtime and Cinemax, it will only cost me $5 more a month, to which I was going to tell him no. Instead, he signs me up for Showtime, Cinemax, Encore and HBO, and I leave paying $7 less per month than I was paying before. Mind you, I was going to be paying $112 for basic cable, digital cable, and HBO, but instead I ended up paying $95 for more. Sweet deal.

mmmm...69+2.50 for cable modem rental? Or was it 79+2.50...either way, that's for 2.0/256, with HBO.

<---Contemplating upgrading to 4.0/512 for 10 more a month...
