I'm not sure if this post was made from ignorance or arrogance. I think that the $12,000 in loans that I have will prove to be far more beneficial than any other $12,000 that I could have spent.

Because of my degree I was able to hop into a management position as opposed to a bottom of the bucket help desk job. The difference in pay alone makes up for the $12,000 in loans IN ONE YEARS TIME.

Now multiply that by the fact that I'll be working for 40 years. I'll let you do the math.

My thoughts EXACTLY. If you read my above post, you would notice I felt the same way. Either that person doesn't have a clue (How TF is a few thousand $$ gonna &quot;kill&quot; someone with a college education?) or it was just put there to evoke a response. At any rate, it's nonsense.

$17k for me, $10k for the wife. She's getting ready to start law school in the fall, though, so we'll probably be looking at closer to 30 or 40k for her by the time she's done :)
