Hate it. I feel like my brain is slowly dying and going to mush. Stuck here until I find something better.. though I was just tentatively selected for a position that I'm interested in, but it'll take 5-6 months to process the paperwork and get me security clearance it seems. :(

I have to do it to support my family, it's not ever what I wanted to do, and over the last decade that's blossomed into healthy resntment.

I'm on track for doing what I actually want to do, but it will take another 5 years of me working at this job while getting the education for that job. :(

Luckily my wife will start making money in a couple of years and I can work less, possibly not at all while in grad school :D

It's not bad at all. I think there's very few places I'd move to and most likely just for the interesting factor that they provide. One of the two places I'd like to work would be Microsoft or Google in software development.

My first job I hate and pay sucks
Then I got a job I hate but pays well
Then I got a job I really like but pays sucks and no benefit
Then I got a job I like but only pay ok
Then I got a job I really like that pays well but the dot com bust shut it down
Then I got a job I like that pays well but it got bought out and I got put into a job that I hate that pays well
Now I got a job I don't like that pays really well

One day, it'll all come together

I have a job I love and don't care that my starting wages are lower than others because my company gives monster pay increases if you play your cards right...If I stick with them for 3 years I'll be given 6-7% pay increases if I have a good performance review :Q

Only thing that sucks is the management doesn't do the best job of retaining their good staff.

Otherwise, I love the job, love the sheer amounts of trauma we get in the summer and the chance to truly help and impact people who don't have much.

I'm here because it's a good internship for good money. Who knows if I'll stay when I finish school, that is still a year away.

I'm burnt out from my job...Evevrybody comes up to me and says I have the best job in the world but they only see the good parts. I have to deal with drunks, idiots, incompetent employees and crazy women and quite a few other things....And crazy women!

It does have its good moments and perks but alot of headaches to go along with them.

I need a vacation!

I hear that.. what kind of job do you have? My guess is ER/Paramedic/Mental Institution for Woman.... or a strip club based on the hints you gave me. LOL

Hate my job right now. I guess I've never really been happy with any job I've ever had (I've had 3 since college). I've usually quit before finding another job which really bit my in the butt the first time but worked out the second time.

Please talk me out of wanting to quit this job now. The pay is low, the company culture is whack, my boss is getting on everyone's nerves...

quitting jobs is never a good idea when you don't have something lined up unless you absolutely couldn't survive there.

i suggest you hang in there for your current job and keep searching hard and no matter how crazy your boss is, depart on good terms.

While I don't like every single aspect of my job, I'm working with computers, which I really enjoy.

They've also been very lenient with letting me leave for a few hours each week to take classes, which I really appreciate.
