I have an old employee plan, even though the company went belly-up five years ago or more, but my provider never blinked or asked, so...

1000 anytime minutes within most of CA, for $15 per month. Suits me just fine, as does my old, monochrome, non-camera, non-blackberry, non-fruitloop, etc. phone! Beyond CA, my $20 MCI card gets me 700 minutes anywhere in the US (2.8 cents/min.) and accessed for free using the 1-800 number on my cell phone (+ air minutes, of course.)
