How much do you give a homeless person/beggar?

i donate to local charities that ensure the money goes for food & shelter.

When I was little...and we all visited Philly for the first time...my cousins and I threw pennies out our car window at the homeless people. Now that I think about it..it's quite funny. Kids do the darnest things!! lol!

i give bums nothing,
from economic point of view giving them money raises the supply, so soon there will be more of em. Also getting money from me is an incentive for them to stay doing whatever theyre doing.

I did give money to thiss charity guy that approached me on street. He said theyre starting church based homeless home for the CLEAN bums. I thought that makes sense, its the first step to get back to the real life.

I give them nothing because I know they are all drunks. I would rather give to a charitable organization that will help the homeless that are truly in need.
