I spent $125 on a promise ring for my girl. It is a small diamond in a titanium ring. Now she wants an engagement ring.

*grabs beer, and lawn chair...actually 2 chairs. for me and this girl I hung out with last night*.....hey why is she over there talking to a bunch of other guys 🙁

so it will cost atleast $125 huh... she is going away tomm so this is last minute thing meaning cant be online ordering..

where can i get it from.. tiffany jewelers?

Around $100-150 is normal but if your buying her a ring make sure she gets you something too like a new watch.

uhhhh before you spend money on a ring. When is she coming back?

WTF is a promise ring for. I wonder if she will be wearing it when she blows another guy.....
Seriously though, save your money or buy her something else with it. A promise ring is good if you are in highschool.

I Don't really think theres a set price. Basically however much you think shes worth. I know I'll probably catch a lot of flak for this but I just bought my GF a $350 ring. It's pricey but shes worth it. It's also nice hearing her say that I couldn't have picked a better ring to give her.

yea thats what im wondering.. if she is worth it.
she will be gone for a year.

i trust her but yea i dont think im going to get her anything. i'll just let her get something for me.

rude... i know.

If she's not the full-of-herself stuck up gold-digging b!tch variety (sounds like she is by your use of the word "expecting") go toss quarters into the crappy little bubble vending machines at the supermarket until you get a plastic ring. I scored more points on that than a slab of precious metal and stone could have ever scored.

ok

let me get everything straight.

she is not expecting ANYTHING but you know if SOMEBODY ask themselves first what i want ,for me to remember them by. it shows that she really does care. i mean im not going to type out everything single nit bit. but she has proven to me countless times, give me a reason to believe that she cares about me.

i really dont care if i lose the $150 later down the road, as long as i get my message accross and let her know what i feel at the current moment. the gift i buy her is not a contract. but just a simple message that she can carry w/ her as long as she wants.

she is not materialistic. she is very well off financially thanks to her parents. she doesnt need anything from me or even ask anything from me ever! she always asked me couple times what i want etc.. and i told her i dont need her to buy me stuff.

so the bubble gum ring idea would work (no, seriously, if your girl loves that, you got yourself a winner).

but yes, i never understood the concept of the promise ring. or an engagement ring.. or a huge wedding. can you tell i probably won't ever get married? ha... if i found someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, i'd put pouring money into a promise/engagement house.

Gone for a year .. don't waste your money. Pick up some flowers and a card.
