OMGWTFHIGHSCHOOL?! How old are you and this girl?? What's this "promise ring" you're speaking of?

If you want to marry her and you want to give her a ring, then own up and get her an engagement ring. If not, then don't even bother.

Good luck!

Seriously though, save your money or buy her something else with it. A promise ring is good if you are in highschool.

Agreed!

BTW, what's a bubble gum ring?

cuz actually SHE woulD! love that

The front of grocery stores, Walmart, etc. (in the "lobby", or in the very front "behind" the checkouts). The machines are usually painted red, and resemble classical bubble gum dispensers. They're filled with little pods that contain various types of crap, or stickers, or removable tattoos. You want one with the pods full of various crap. And a lot of quarters. If you want one particular item, the damned machine will give you EVERYTHING else until you're out of money. Enormous, deep pockets will also help, since you're going to have to carry away a lot of crap in addition to the ring lewt.

Text (you remove the bubble/pod thing around it)

Except that's a very high grade one, usually they're made of paper thin plastic, without any of the jaggies from molding trimmed off. They're so called because the vending machines are the type typically used for bubble gum (hence the pod thing around the cheapie loot)

Spent $129 I think. ~3 years later and we're still together but I am waiting until we graduate from college to get married to her.

I don't think I would have done it over again if I had the chance (for various reasons).

Zero.

Promise rings are stupid and meaningless. It's just to see if you will spend money you don't have to pacify her. Once you start down that road, it never ends.

Promise rings are as cheap or expensive as you like, but it seems weird to me for the GUY to buy such a ring for the GIRL. Isn't the promise something that she makes to herself?

i thought promise ring is given to someone? not buying one for yourself.

anyways i went to target and just got her a cheap watch and a i love you bracelet. costed total of $50 bucks.

i traded in her old watch and handed her a new one and got her a bracelet. i told her im going to keep the old watch. it was pretty cheap too.. like target quality so that why i was able to get her something equal. i told her it was cheap but she said "NO its ok. its the thought that counts! and kiss"

so we'll see

she left today. going to jordan a month later to start her freshmen yr of university.

Promise rings usually run at least one, maybe even both your testicles.

Get her jewelry because it looks nice on her, not because of some playground vows you guys are making to each other.

Don't promise her anything. If you still can tolerate he when you are ready to get married, buy her a ring then.

Well the engagement ring I got for my fiancee is Blue Topaz and not diamond since she didn't want a diamond ring.

Well looks like everyone is saying like $130ish for a promise ring so I still paid a good amount over that :p
