how much do i need to tip the guys?

See, I got a Taxi in Laguadia to Waldor Astoria.

I gave the driver a $5 tip, then $5 to the door man who took my luggage and gave me a tag (WTF? I could take that myself).

then another $5 when the bellhop guy gave me the luggage on the 25th floor.

Am I doing this right?

when i said luggage, it's just one piece. I guess maybe I should cut it down a bit.

 

Woah, tone down the tipping. Just round up to the nearest $5 on taxi fares. I don't think I'd tip the doorman anything, but I'd tip the bellman about $5 for carrying my luggage up to the 25th floor.

bellhop the rule is $2-3 per piece of luggage

doorman whenever I feel like it, especially if he grabs a taxi for me

taxi, almost always $5 if it's just a short trip then I usually tell them to keep the change.
