It is the way you walk and talk with other people. If you can show confidence, a level of alpha male leadership, and charisma (joking around and having fun), you won't have any problems. IMO, I don't think many girls take notice of veins or muscles after the first few looks. I mean, they may get you a glance, but unless you are willing to approach them and show them you are masculine enough, you might as well stick to working out.

I am shy by nature, so that works against me, but I am confident and comfortable with who I am (plus I am quirky/odd in a good way), so I don't have problems with girls taking an interest or giving glances. Too bad my followthru isn't always up to par, but that is because I don't followthru unless I get to know a girl first. <sigh> Oh well...

Same here. It's not that I'm shy per se, but for some reason I need an INSANE amount of energy to be effectively social to strangers. So I generally isolate myself (save from my very close friends whom I can always get along with) until I'm ready to come out.

Working to fix that though.

My motto: If you're not satisfied with yourself, be satisfied with who your becoming.

hmm well cr@p I started working out the begining of this year and one of my biggest goals was to get veins that pop out alot more. And let me jsut say you deffinitely don't have to be a huge dude to have veins popping out, alot of people I know have veins going all over hte places on their foramrs and calves. Personally I have a few very noticible veins on my calves and like 5 on each forarm that come way out (especially when lifting). I can folliw one vein across my shoulder over my bicep to the inside of my elbow than across my forarm and into my hand. And I am 150 lbs and 6ft tall. IT is as much a function of a lack of body fat as it is a large amount of muscle. Obviously I'm not talking about bodybuilder-type humongous veins bursting out everywhere think most people agree thats a turn off, but a person with a good muscle to fat ratio will likely have veins clearly visible in several places.

I'm a girl, but I don't really find veins popping to be attractive... Probably think you were a little homo..

I think you people are missing the huge difference between being in shape and being a steroid freak. I look at the people I know and the more in shape they are generally the more veins you can see. You don't have to be massive by any means, in fact you don't even have to see all that muscular. For example I play ultiamte frisbee (I know people don't think its a real sport but trust me we train alot, and better people train even more). And the fast people generally have considerable numbers of visible veins going down their legs. This isn't because they have giant mucles, its because they run alot and more veins have grown to providet he muscles with larger amounts of oxygen.

all i'm saying is be comfortable with yourself, and quit looking at others to define yourself. by all means stay in shape as that is your health and in the end all you have is yourself and your health.

Now if you'll excuse me, it is night time. I hunger for the blood of the living.

Lol, oh man me too. So depressing. It's 10x worse when I attempt to lift.
