Dig guys with veins popping out of their arms? I work out, alot as of late, and I am seeing results, in terms muscle mass and all that, but since I don't dead lift, I don't have any veins popping out of my arms.
Not the most vain or fussy about this, but what must I do, if not dead lifting to get veins. And are they essential? Especially since I ain't Brad Pitt facial wise. And I am seeking to get girls not guys, because I am a raging heterosexual, and I feel persecuted because not enough media is being devoted to heterosexual people. /sarcasm /parody.

All joking aside, what do the chicks of ATOT say?

it is not even something i would notice. If you want girls to notice you, have a nice smile, "welcoming" eyes or a good sense of humor.
veins, to be honest are a bit of a turn off to me, personally. :)

Don't you mean "all joking aside"?

The only girls that care are the emo/goth chicks who want to inject you with weird drugs when you're asleep. Enjoy.

Yeah, I have a smile, and I have the humor. Many girls find veins a turn off, but many find em very sexay.

@ LolaWiz, edited for clarity, thanks for the headsup. ;)

True enough, but many chicks in say, San Diego, do like that. I dunno about other places.

Wait, you WANT veins popping out of your arms? That seems kinda steroid-ish to me, not at all attractive.

From the girls I talked to, girls generally don't like that extreme level of buffness. Of course, there are probably some that like it just like there are some guys that like anorexic thin models.

Interestingly, in a study I read of internet dating preferences derived from an internet dating site, the most popular male body type was one that would be considered slight overweight.

So you basically made this thread to brag about your own physique?

You asked for peoples opinions. If your going to sit there and argure yours over them, I dont see much point to this.

No, thats not what I said. or not what I meant. I don't deadlift but usually people think that if you have veins, you do actually work out.

Huh? I know plenty of insanely scrawny people that have a lot of vascularity.

That said, there are a lot of ways to achieve it, many of which involves substances you'd probably rather not use. The easiest way is to simply keep lifting heavy and go on a cut until you find a level of vascularity that you like. Some people seem to be vascular no matter how much body fat they carry, and others need a lot less body fat to see anything at all.

Perhaps someone like Amused can chime in here to offer a better description.

Body fat, skin thickness, and genetics carry a major role in vascularity. The easiest way to increase blood flow legally, is to take Nitric Oxide.

Well lets end this thread now. Vascularity is mostly genetic, if you want veins to come shooting out lower your bodyfat and increase your muscle mass. Different women like different things, obtain whatever appearance you want...it doesn't mean all women will want you one way or the other.

Some chicks like skinny guys, some chicks like "plump guys". Just like some people prefer certain cars, different strokes for different folks.

This pretty much sums it up. Certian steroids can also have a very noticeable effect on vascularity, but I don't think you want to go there.

NO itself is pretty much useless for anything except getting a pump and increased vascularity.

If I were to guess (with no basis whatsoever) on what the "average" opinion would be of all women in the US, it's that popping-out-veins, though masculine, are more a turn off than anything else because they resemble scars and/or are too reminding of freakish-competition-weightlifters.

I've got veins popping out of my arms, but it's probably because they're pretty thin. Or so I figure. Either way, a good portion of my circulatory system is quite easily visible. The lack of pigmentation in my sun-deprived skin makes it that much easier to see.

Now if you'll excuse me, it is night time. I hunger for the blood of the living.

What lolawiz said, plus a decent physique, works wonders. On days when I'm in a good mood, I just look friendly. That plus the fact that I have a rower's body and the weather is warm now gets me a lot of looks from girls around campus. My arms are nowhere near blood-vessel popping, and I wouldn't want them anyway. If you're going for looks, look strong and smooth.

It is more about confidence and how you carry yourself. If you are in decent shape that is <if you are slovenly, then you might need to work out>, but since you are fit persay, then girls notice a guy who is confident (or at least comfortable with who they are). It is the way you walk and talk with other people. If you can show confidence, a level of alpha male leadership, and charisma (joking around and having fun), you won't have any problems. IMO, I don't think many girls take notice of veins or muscles after the first few looks. I mean, they may get you a glance, but unless you are willing to approach them and show them you are masculine enough, you might as well stick to working out.

I am shy by nature, so that works against me, but I am confident and comfortable with who I am (plus I am quirky/odd in a good way), so I don't have problems with girls taking an interest or giving glances. Too bad my followthru isn't always up to par, but that is because I don't followthru unless I get to know a girl first. <sigh> Oh well...
