How much do bouncers for bars / clubs get paid?

I worked as one and I made a lot for a bouncer. I made *if i remember correctly* about $7.50 an hour. Most of the guys I'd talked to made about 5-6 an hour.
 
A newbie bouncer at Bar Nashville (one of the best known bars in Nashville, TN) gets paid $12/hour. After a few months they bump it up to $15/hour.

Well then that's different..... You're more concerned with liability insurance and making sure they don't crack someone's skull putting them outside.

Yeah, I need HELLA insurance. Thinkin in the million+ range. But, in order to come up with some numbers to figure operating expense kinda need to know what people charge....bouncers, DJ's, bartenders, sound people etc etc etc.
Plus figure loan payment (IF I get the loan). Property taxes. etc etc etc.
