How much do boob jobs normally cost?

Page 2 - Seeking answers? Join the AnandTech community: where nearly half-a-million members share solutions and discuss the latest tech.
It depends on how much CC <volume> you want, what type of boobs you already have, and how do you want to put the implants in: ( 3 types of operations)

1. Under the nipples
2. Below the breasts
3. Near the armpits

I think the cost is between 3K to 5K and up. It also depends on locations (more expensive places will cost more than cheap places). I think most of the implants are saline based and not sillicon based anymore.

It is best to ask around which surgeon is a good one. Make sure he is <I haven't hear about a woman surgeon yet> board certified and no complaints filed agaist him.Word of mouth referral is best. No need to rush or you will regrett it <look at Tara Reid>.

One last thing. Do not try to get too big. I mean if you are a slender girl, don't get a DOUBLE DD size or so, it will look funny. A good boobie job will make the gal look natural and not faked.

<<------- used to date a few dancers and know everything I need to know about boobies and implants..LOL.

Several issues...

Augmentation is not a one shot surgery, the surgeons would like to go in every 7-10 years & tweak their work It'll cost 4-9 grand each time...

As sylva said, best way is to go to strip clubs & talk to the dancers, they have a favorite surgeon & they're pretty fussy.

Show pics of your current body & breast size and let ATOTers give you some suggestions.

IMHO. Most women look better before breast implant than after.

still though a few dancers doesn't give expertise, I have screwed dancers some had good fakes, some had real. Some had terrible fakes that matched natural girls I was with.

it's like wieners, if they made common fakes some would say the too huge one was fake, but I have seen ones that I have no idea what a chick would do with. I am not huge, but many times I have been told 'not so deep'.

I will say silicone > saline though for fun....for a wife I'd hope for saline or natural.

I am a leg and butt man though, put a handful in with a nice nip and I am happy.

I think if you add up everything I've ever spent on my body, including food, it wouldn't be $5k. That's insane.

$30,000 Ebay auction from a 0-feedback seller. For the lazy:

===========================================================
This is a great opportunity for a documentary film producer or someone interested in doing research on the safety of silicone breast implants. After having my ruptured 10-year-old silicone breast implants replaced with saline implants, I now need to have additional surgeries to remove silicone granulomas, scar tissue that formed around the silicone gel that leaked out of my ruptured silicone breast implant. During the granuloma(s) removal surgery I am having an additional surgery to have my now 10-year-old saline implants replaced. I am selling the rights to do a documentary on the granuloma removal surgery and or saline implant replacement surgery. Any and all filming, photographs, biopsy reports and or other documentation will belong solely to the purchaser, whose identity will remain anonymous. The residual silicone sets about a half inch above my breast area and will require a separate incision or incisions during the same surgery as the saline implant replacement. Seller has the right to choose any physician that would be used during the filming of the procedure. Along with their bid, which is due upon the day of acceptence, the buyer will be required to provide all additional costs related to the removal of the granuloma(s) and the filming of the surgery. Buyer will only be required to pay for the surgery or surgeries that they purchase the documentation for. Documentation of the removal of larger granulomas located in and around my armpit area, are not included. That documentation will be sold at a later day. Purchaser must guarantee seller that all preparations and transactions will occur within six months of purchase or buyer forfeits his rights to film said surgery. The purchaser will then only be provided with the rights to standard surgery and biopsy documentation of both of the fore mentioned surgeries. Previous silicone implant removal surgery report from 1995 and the granuloma removal surgery report from 2003 are both available free of charge to the purchaser. (Scars shown in photo are from the 2003 granuloma removal surgery.) All surgeries mentioned were and are medically necessary, with the exception of the original silicone implant surgery.

I never said I was an expert on boobie jobs and you are not either since none of us are board certified surgeon. I refer the real ones anytime over the fake ones.

Edit: if you going to quote me, at least quote the whole sentence.

Clubs often loan the girls money up front to get it done and have recommended surgeons

Currently, saline implants are probably the best choice for most women considering breast augmentation.

What makes you say that? My wife did a lot of research before getting hers, and the whole silicone myth is just that, a myth. Not to mention the new cohesive gels implants are far less resistant to leaking even if there's a puncture in the exterior of the implant.

I saw those on the Daily Show. The guy took an exacto knife to it, punctured a hole, and squeezed. The gel came out, and went right back in once pressure was alleviated. Seems much safer and pretty cool.

Your quote was: <<------- used to date a few dancers and know everything I need to know about boobies and implants..LOL.

That is the whole sentence.

You implication was the same..don't get all bent out of shape there. Also I am willing to bet there are a few certified surgeons here on ATOT, that was a sort of ignorant thing to say but you are probably using the same skillset I suppose for deduction.

What is the myth you are referring too? That ruptured silicone does a body good?

The deal is there is still a much higher danger with silicone. You have to realize most women are not going to go back to have their implants replaced at the proper times, and even if they did....there is still a greater risk.

The silicone implants are made better (learnnig from past mistakes), but definitely not as safe as saline. I am not and anti-silicone advocate...as a matter a fact if a chick wanted to stick titanium domes beneath her flesh, I'd not stand in her way....just the doc should let her know the risks involved.
