How much do bank tellers make?

My friend is looking for a job at Chase for a part time bank teller. He is currently at SUNY Stony Brook. How much should he ask for? This is in a wealthy area in Long Island, New York.

bank tellers I know who do it part time make around 10-12 an hour.

i would say 8-10 bucks an hour is pretty normal

Down here, they are lucky if they can make over 8 bucks/hr.

The bank I use for paypal had a sign up,about a month ago,and I asked.LOL.

My wife makes $11.00 (I think.. pretty sure) in Alaska.
