How much did your paycheck go up (or down) this week?

My weekly check has gone up $10 a week, which will be put toward my electric bill.

What did you get? Anyone's paycheck take a dent?

mine went up by $30 .... noise as far as I'm concerned. Good thing economic policy doesn't depend on tax cuts because if that was it, it would fall flat

So... we tax people just to throw a little back in your paycheck and tax you again on it. Makes perfect sense.

😕

For some people this little push could be enough to push them over into the next tax bracket and make them end up farther behind. That would suck.

My salary hasn't changed, I don't see how this would get me into a higher tax bracket.

I dont get a paycheck. Im a poor mountaineer, can barely keep my family fed. One day Im shoot at some food and hope I find some bubbin' crude. Oil that is. Black gold. Texas tea.

You have no idea how a progressive tax system works, do you?

Unfortunately I do understand all too well how it works.

My company sent out an emailing informing us that we might need to update our W4's for tax withholding purposes

You shouldn't have to, this is all supposed to be based on your current W-4 and revised withholding tables.
