I usually go to Asian places and they charge me around 100-150. Went to an American place today because I got a coupon from Yelp for "$50 for $110" worth and the final quoted price came out to $225. Never payed that much for tints before but they seemed pretty thorough and they have a lifetime guarantee..

This is for 5 windows.

In Idaho it is usually about $200/car. Of course this also includes having it as dark as you want, but if it happens to be the illegal limo tint you simply won't get a receipt.

I would say your price isn't too far-fetched.

I think I paid around $220 for mine. 4 side windows, rear, and strip on top of windshield. But price also depends on the quality of tint. The place I went ranged from $100-250. I went with the Lumar and 5 years later it still looks great.

What type of film are you talking about?
I paid $180 for my 8th gen Civic Coupe but that's because I used my dad's contact.

Other places quoted me:
$150 for metallic
$230ish for ceramic

If anyone needs a tint guy near Atlanta let me know. My family has had 5 cars tinted by him. He does AWESOME work and is much cheaper than anyone else.

I paid about that much ($230) for all of my windows tinted at a professional place, not some cheap rundown joint.

Mine was like $260 but that was for the rear window, both rear doors, both front doors and the moonroof.

$130 in SoCal and the tint done was great. $180 up in NorCal and it was so-so quality wise.

^ i would try the sidewindows but never the rear glass. thise defroster lines are not forgiving.

In chicago i normally get together with a car club here and do mini groupbuys of 5 cars or so. They run about $120-150 on sedans all minus front shield. Normal price is about $175-250. Lifetime. decent film, johnson's film. Any %. A good tint used buy a good tinter, you never should come back for defects other then it peeling from wear and tear on the top.

my maxima's driver side tint started peeling after 5 years. obviously its the most used window and years going up and down they will start to peel. Fixed in 20 minutes with new tint and on my way.

How are Huper Optik tints?
I'm thinking of having some put on here in Dallas before heading back to TheMiddleofNoWhere (IA). Anyone know any good shops?

Good stuff, but really pricey.

I had thought about doing the Huper Optik, but it was about 200 more than the Formula One Pinnacle stuff I went with. Which was about 250ish OTD. That also included removal of the old tint, so it probably would have been about 2-225ish.

Went with 35% on the front windows (legal limit) and 20% on everything else (sun visor too). Has a lifetime warranty, so I might go back and have them swap to 20% on the fronts.

~$200 for mine. I paid a little more but I didn't want to cheap out and need to get it redone any time soon. 3 years later and my tint still looks as good as day one.

I went with huper optik for my legacy and the wife's corolla. Think the total was ~700 or ~800. Its been 4 years. This was for 7 total windows in the legacy wagon (2 front, 2 rear, 2 in cargo area and then rear) and 5 for the corolla with tint all the way to the edge.

Haven't noticed any bubbling or peeling yet.

What's the visibility difference between ceramic and non-ceramic?

Also, how do you guys find 20% tint in parking lots and backing up?
I've been thinking about doing 35% all around for visibility, but I'd like the way 20% would look.
