Alright back in October of 2002 I paid $1900 for this laptop and I'm wondering what I could get for it nowadays if I were to sell it on ebay. Here are the specs:
Prostar 5654 Expert (5600D) purchased from http://www.xtremenotebooks.com
15.0" UXGA+ (1600x1200)
TFT Active Matrix Screen
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 with 64MB DDR RAM
Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz Processor - 533MHz System Bus
1024MB PC2100/266 DDR Ram (2 DIMMs)
40GB ATA/100 HDD
8X16X10x24 DVD/CD-RW Combo w/Software
Smart Li-ion Battery
Second Battery
A/C Adapter
Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio
Carry Case
Operating System - WinXPHome
Machine is in ALMOST perfect condition. There is a small cosmetic crack (which is really not a problem at all) on the plastic on the back of the LCD and the screw covers are missing from the front.
How much should I expect to get out of this?
I know not a lot of people go for prostar because it's not as "big" of a name as Dell or HP or Compaq or IBM, but this laptop looked EXACTLY like the top of the line Alienware laptop at the time, and had the same exact parts, supposedly. Just different laptop "case". And EVERYBODY knows how cool Alienware is
