Let's see.. I got the quarter jar, my pocket, the coffee table.. and if I count underneath them matresses.. I got one, one seventy-five, two, two ninety, three, three fiddy. 'bout three fiddy.

Even though I carry hardly any cash and use credit cards everywhere (including fast food drive thrus), my piggy bank of 7 years is full... there's just places where you get change from spending a few dollars here and there.

I am too lazy to bring it to the bank... hell I'm too lazy to crack it open.

not much. have a smallish bowl of change by the door. rolled a bunch up and took it to the bank last year, and i don't really accumulate change that quickly.

I had this much change in my room until I decided to bring it to the bank:

Rolled:

That was $325. I had like 3 grocery bags put together so I can bring that to the bank.

I get to the bank, BANG as I put it on the counter. "I'd like to deposit this". Good thing it was not busy lol.

WTF kind of coins are those? Some kind of carnival tokens for rides on the clown-coaster?

Mayple Leaf, Beaver, Moose and Canadian Geese on the coins. You care to guess now?

btw, Canada is clearly visible in that picture on the Toonie.

I have probably 2K+ in various jars, jugs, decanters, etc. all around the house.
Been saving my change for my Grandson's College fund For like 4+ years.

I always use cash (except for gas, use debit card for that), and I never reach in my pockets for change when I buy, just give me my change even if the amount is say, $10.03, I want $.97 in change. Empty my change from my pockets each night into my "Tray", when it gets full, put it all in a jug, Decanter, etc.

I just keep a big jar and take it to one of those coinstar things. It's always at least a hundred bucks, more likely 2-3. Think about it, you probably bring home close to a buck in change a day, that's 365 bucks a year.

some banks have a coin sorting machine inside them. it's not worth using coinstar.

i have a 5 gal water bottle about 2/3 full in my office. its more silver than copper too, need to roll that stuff and see how much i get someday. its our disneyland fund. i also have a treasure chest shaped box on my dresser with a ton of change in it, along with a bunch of gold coins and other collectibles. i cant even fathom a guess on how much it is total, but the jug full is very heavy.

I can't speak for my housemates, but I personally have about 1 pint of coins. I throw my change into an old 1 quart pickle jar and roll the coins up when it's full.
