There are 12 people going, 6 adults and 6 children.

We will have over 120,000 between the 12 of us, to wire transfer 120,000 to vietnam is very difficult.

well.. if each adult can take 15k and each kid can take 5k, that should be your 120k right there.. right?

do the small wire transfer for the rest so you have some of that 120k to fund your trip.. you should be nice and legal?

Hide the money in a bunch of Fleshlights. Stow said Fleshlights in a bag labeled "Used Fleshlights." You will be able to get the money across because no one in their right mind wants to get anywhere near a bag of used Fleshlights. Profit.

When will your plane be leaving from where you live...? 😛 😉

well you cary to much and the magnetic strips will activate the detectors. also if you are caught with that much by customs they will hold it until you can prove your not a traffiker.

and you should just get a international account and get a atm card they can use

for that much money, i'm sure there must be a bank that is accessible from both sides of the ocean. jesus, i can't fathom the stupidity of carrying that much cash in an airport. this kind of thing is why asians are always being targeted for home invasion robberies. if you can't afford to lose it, it should be in a bank, period.

All in favor of forwarding this to U.S. Customs/IRS/other government agencies along with the Vietnam Customs agency?

The OP has posted plenty of identifying information about himself in the past. We know he is a Vietnamese stats major at UC Davis graduating this year, he has multiple chins, and I believe his name is Doug.

I think it is a poor idea to try to hide the money. That much money will trip metal detectors because of the magnetic strip in each dollar bill.

I highly suggest giving each minor the 5K and have each adult carry the 15K.
5K * 6kids = 30grand
15K * 6adults = 90grand

Even if they do find the money this way you are legal and not actively concealing the money.

That is 120K so you are legal. If you hide it by sewing it into your clothes you are just making yourself look suspicious. Divide the money up that way in belt wallets worn under your clothes. That way it just looks like you are being safe instead of trying to take unclaimed money.

They can't use a bank because the money is undeclared and they haven't been paying taxes on it. :disgust:

that's a whole lot of Dongs..like 2 billion 😛

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get tax for the US side, but if they do find it on your way out, you're going to get pwned...

According to IRS code 332-34.a.1, each adult can only carry $15,000 and an additional $5,000 for each minor. It said that each minor must be family. If you need to carry more you need to obtain a waiver by filling out IRS form 332-34.a.1ez.

Well there will be a few minors, each will have well over $5000, but it will be sewn into the clothing, secret compartments, and other things. So hopefully nothing big will happen we get caught, we can't declare the money, for special reasons.

I hope you don't sew it into your coat pockets, because they make you X-Ray those. 😛

No giving money to Family.
Bank wires don't work in Vietnam?
Fee to large, and not 100% safe.
Like sewing it "into the clothing, secret compartments, and other things" is safe.
