You probably consider jacking off a workout :p I don't think you'd know what to do with a set of weights if you stepped in the gym.

Before I've been going out of town on all these business trips, right around 300lbs x 4. 5'10, 180. (Now about 12-15lbs less)

I goto the gym 6 days a week, doing bi/tri monday, cardio tuesday, shoulder back wed, cardio thurs and fri, and chest and everything else a little bit on saturday. i stopped doing legs after awhile, and i bench 225 (not max)..

just because i don't do legs doesnt mean i dont know what to do with a set of weights.

Dude... how can you workout 6 days a week and not even work the largest muscle in your body!?

I used to max 645 at 6'00" 155lbs.
I did 3 sets of 10 reps at leg extensions with the full rack (something like 225lbs.)
I only benched 175 tho.

I haven't worked out it 2 years so it's likely down to around 400 or so now on squats. (and I now weigh 165)

Koing good job with the squats. i have just recently started doing squats for the legs. before that i was just doing heavy leg presses. i finally went to doing squats because my friend who's a trainer at ballys finally had a free time frame when i was at the gym to show me how to PROPERLY do squats. i didn't want to do them without him showing me how to properly do them. so he showed me and now i have been doing them for about a month. and yes, i do go VERY low as well, just like you do in the video. the only difference with me is that my legs are a little wider apart than yours, but thats about the only difference. also, for now i am using the smith machine because i want to get the form down very well before i switch to free weights.

last friday i did my legs, i did 5x5 @ 235lbs on squats on the smith machine. every time i go i am doing 10lbs more, and i'm doing the 5x5 thing as well. i have done that for my back over the past 4 months or so with deadlifts, starting at 205lbs. yesterday i did 5x5 @ 345lbs for deadlifts. next week i have to try 355lbs. if i can't get 5x5, then i don't go up in weight. im going to try the same thing for squats to get my legs as strong as possible.

and for the record, i'm 5'11 and about 187lbs.

What I am saying is that you call others "Amatuers" yet to look at you one would never guess that you were some kind of expert at weight training let alone even tell that you weight train at all. You've been doing int for what, a year or year and a half and the makes you some kind of authority?

How do you know if I look like I lift or not? I can't say I recall posting a picture of myself on here in a long time.

I'm no expert, but you ARE stupid if you do a comprehensive workout, and you don't do legs. Doesn't take a Mr Olympia to know that.

I'll take that bet. How much you wanna wager?

Yes, it is stupid to never lift legs. You can think otherwise all you want, I don't care.

Yeah right, every time you and your frat boys get drunk you post pictures of yourself.

That said, the fact that somebody takes the time to work out even if they don't do their legs isn't reason to knock them. To each their own.

keep preaching deeko.

edit; RD, exactly my point. if someone goes to the gym even once a week, good for them, its better than nothing.

Most people do half or quarter squats and think they are strong. The true test is how much can you do when you do a full, "touch your ass to your ankles" squat?

Also, tall lean types will not be able to squat as much as short squat types. That's just a matter of leverage.

um, that kind of deep squat should only be done at low warm-up weight loads. for a regular workout with weights >200 you should create a 90 degree bend at the knees. any deeper than that and you risk injury. note thats not 90 degrees to the floor, since the lower half of your leg bends forward too as you squat. also note that stopping at exactly 90 degrees is a very poor leverage point, and not easy to do and nothing to be laughed at. most people dont even make it as deep as 90 though without someone observing them to make sure they do

~Zippy!

exactly. i have to be a bit more careful as my knees are worse than most.

anyways, i plan to exercise my fast twitch muscles with the hope of jumping higher and higher! hahahaha

If you didn't want to get ridiculed for not lifting legs, why would you post in a thread about lifting legs? Simple logic.

Old Man, I take no responsibility for things I've posted while drunk...but generally if its a picture I've taken I would not be in it?

if you didnt notice, it was a joke--i was actually ridiculing myself. but to be called an amatuer and that i don't know what to do with weights, i'm going to defend myself.

There's this Russian guy at our gym we call Shrek that squats over 500 lbs and leg presses around 900 lbs. People stop what they are doing when he does those exercises to watch in amazement.

was a lineman in hs and on the silly powerlifting team. these competitions for us were basically just personal goal lift competitions as we only had 1 guy who ever placed. anyway you get 3 attemps in squat and I think the best I did was about 450. these are 1 rep full squats with 3 judges watching the lift.

i didnt take it too seriously though.. hell it was senior year, football was over, i was partying etc

I'm gonna go squat about a pound and a half. Could've been more, but I ate a light supper last night.
